Happy Fathers Day
Today I want to wish my husband and all other fathers a happy fathers day. My daughter is so blessed to have a wonderful man to be her father. I look at this picture and can see the power in my husbands hands as he holds and protects our daughter. Today in the paper there is an article written by President Barack Obama in the Parade magazine. Its titled "We need fathers to step up". He makes a statement that really stood out to me, and that is, that what makes you a man is not the ability to have a child but the courage to raise one. When I read this sentence it made me stop and reflect. Its absolutely true. It takes courage and strength of character to step up and do whats right for your child. The importance of being there in your childs life and watching them grow and teaching them life skills so that when they leave the nest they can stand on there own two feet. I'm grateful that I had a father that was my biggest cheerleader. He passed along so many life lessons that even though he is not with me any longer I'm still learning from him. I hope that today everyone lets the father or father figure in there life know how much they appreciate all they have done for them. Today is a day of giving thanks to all fathers around the world and I want to say thank you and may your journey be peaceful.Namaste
